1. Makumi pabula 'lyo na pabula, Shali mwi-ci-nka mulya,
Imo tayalimo, yali pampili, kutali kufuma kwi cinka,
Yalubile yali mu mpanga yeka, Tayali mumaboko ya mucemi;
Tayali mumaboko yamu Cemi.
2. Makumi pabula lyo na pabula, Bushe ta'shili sha-linga,
Kacema atile, "Imo pa-li shi, na iya kufuma kuli'ne
Nangwi nshila yabipa mulya mabwe,
Ndeya fwaye mpanga mu matololo,
Ndeya fwaye mpanga mu matololo."
3. hilye shapuswike tashaishibe, Amenshi fyo ya shikile,
Nemfimfi fyo yali umo aile, Asangile mpange yaluba.
Aumfwa yalila mumatololo, Yali yalwala pepi nokufwa,
Yali yalwala pepi nokufwa.
